PICTURES I LOVE || 12.19.15

Here’s a collection of pictures that I’ve taken over the years that I really enjoy looking at. :)  Enjoy.

I’m almost positive this picture was taken while my mom and I were driving through Oklahoma.  I’m not sure what the meaning behind it all is, but if I remember correctly I saw two of these crosses.  I’ve never seen anything like it.  I thought it was cool.

This photo was taken from my bedroom window in Missouri.  Doesn’t the sky look amazing?  I’ve seen some of the best sunsets in Missouri.

I’m obsessed with the moon.  I didn’t mean to get the branch and leaves but it looks so good.

Slight obsession with the moon. :)

Black and white moon!  I like this with the tree branches peeking in.

This was taken on the Black River in Watertown NY.  One of the nights my friends and I camped on ‘the island.’  Amazing memories on this river I’ll never forget.

My boyfriends brother was burning a bunch of leaves in their fire pit in the back yard and smoked out the whole neighborhood.  He ran inside and told me to come out and look.  I took this picture and I think it looks awesome with him standing there.  Looks like something out of movie.

El Paso, TX - Beautiful sunset and the mountains.

Somewhere in NY :)

My obsession with the moon, once again.

Right before I took off to St Louis, MO.  Sunsets are a beautiful thing.

My boyfriend and I were at Black Pond in Henderson Harbor, NY.  We would always bring his dog because he loves to swim.  We were watching the sun set and I looked over at them, told him to look at me and I captured this beautiful picture of them in the water.  I’m not sure what it is about this picture but I absolutely love it.  I want to get a really nice picture frame and give it to him as a present.  The water just makes it look so peaceful.  Plus, a dog is a mans best friend. ;)

DEAR 2015

Dear 2015,

Thank you for not being completely miserable like 2013 and 2014 were.  This year I really found my happiness and it’s one of the greatest feelings.  From being in such a deep dark place, I never thought I’d ever be happy.  I can proudly say I’ve been through hell and back and I rose up to be a better person and most importantly a more happier person.  I’ve learned a lot about friendships, family, and relationships in general.  Never put effort in where it shouldn’t be.  If you don’t feel something is going to benefit you, don’t do it.  Do everything that makes you happy.  Don’t think so much about what other people think because it will ruin you.

I’m thankful for all the new friendships I’ve made and how happy I am.  I’’m happy I’m happy.  I never thought I’d be this happy.  I’m happy living back in Texas and I’m content with where I’m at.  Everything is going well.  I hope 2016 is as good and even better than 2015 has been.  Always stay positive even in the darkest times.  I’m so thankful and happy happy happy.

INFATUATED WITH THE MOON || 12.13.15

One of my favorite quotes, which I have shared in a previous post is:

there was a reason
that she was so
romantic about
the moon.
it never asked her
questions or begged
for the answers nor
did she ever have
to prove herself
to it.
it was always just
there- breathing
shining,
in ways most
humans can’t understand,
-listening.
- Christopher Poindexter

I’ve always been the person who shouts “look at the moon!” when we’re outside at night.  You’ll always find me capturing photos at night, knowing what time the moon is going to rise and what phase it’s going to be.  There’s something awfully beautiful about it.  Here’s some photos I’ve caught of it over the past few months.  Enjoy.

I watched the moon rise this night.  It looked so large and amazing.  This was the best picture I could get since the power lines were in the way.

This is one of my favorite pictures of the moon that I’ve captured.  I call it ‘between the trees'

LONG TIME NO POST || 12.12.15

HELLO.

Holy cow, it’s almost been a year since my last blog post.  I regret not keeping up with this blog.  I had some extra time to just be on my computer and remembered this blog I started a year ago.  I read through all my posts and thought how amazing and interesting it was getting to re-read all my thoughts from an entire year ago.  I want to stick with it this time.  I’m not going to let anything get in my way.  I have so much to update you all on..well not a lot but, whatever. ;)

First, I moved!!! I no longer live in lost in the woods, Missouri!  I’ve moved back to Texas and I love it.  It’s December 12 and it was 77 degrees yesterday.  From growing up in New York and experiencing -30 degree weather this time of year, this is complete heaven to me!  Second, I’m a nanny.  It’s not the job I had in mind, but I really do enjoy it.  I spent this past summer in New York with my boyfriend, which is always a splendid time.

I’m really looking forward to posting many many many more posts here!  Stay tuned because there’s so much more coming your way!

Xoxo, Kelly <3
